PrepTMUA (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides TMUA practice materials, mock exams, and related study tools at www.preptmua.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

PrepTMUA is operated for students preparing for the Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA). For privacy questions, contact support@preptmua.com.

Data we collect

• Account data — username, email address, and password (stored securely / hashed).
• Purchase data — plan chosen, payment status, and related billing records. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Study activity — quiz attempts, scores, flags, planner settings, and similar progress data needed to run the product.
• Support messages — emails or contact form messages you send us.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, including via analytics cookies where enabled.

How we use your data

• To create and manage your account and provide access to paid or free features.
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To personalise practice plans, track progress, and improve question quality.
• To reply to support requests.
• To send essential service emails (for example password reset or purchase confirmation).
• To understand site usage and improve PrepTMUA (for example Google Analytics), where permitted.
• To send product updates or marketing emails only where you have opted in or where allowed by law; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

Where UK data protection law applies, we typically rely on:

• Contract — to provide the service you signed up or paid for.
• Legitimate interests — to secure, improve, and administer the site.
• Consent — where required for non-essential cookies or marketing emails.

Who we share data with

We use trusted providers to run PrepTMUA. They only process data for us as needed:

• Hosting — PythonAnywhere (application hosting).
• Payments — Stripe.
• Email delivery — Brevo (and related transactional email tools).
• Analytics — Google Analytics (when enabled).

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep data

We keep account and study data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can restore access, handle disputes, or meet legal requirements. Purchase records may be kept longer for accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your account data subject to those limits.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Request deletion
• Object to or restrict certain processing

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Children

PrepTMUA is aimed at students preparing for university admissions tests. If you are under 16 (or the digital consent age where you live), please use the service with a parent/guardian’s involvement where required. Contact us if you believe we have collected a child’s data inappropriately.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of PrepTMUA after an update means you accept the revised policy.
